UPA companies have worked hard to develop new tools within the IAP (Institute of Advertising Self-Regulation) to ensure the recognition of online advertising messages. These tools are outlined in the Digital Chart.
The goal of the Digital Chart is to set criteria for the recognition of commercial communication as such in compliance with article 7 of the Self-regulatory Advertising Code. This is in fact a fundamental aspect in order to preserve the trust exist between advertisers and web users for the commercial communication to be effective and responsible.
Currently the Digital Chart covers influencer marketing, native advertising, advergame, in-app advertising.
Thanks to the work done with the digital chart a significant number of operators active in influencer marketing have already joined the IAP.
